Mrs. Bruns’ third graders are enjoying “Flashlight Friday” during D.E.A.R. time.
D.E.A.R. stands for Drop Everything And Read. This is time in the daily schedule that is for students to do some independent, silent reading. Flashlight Friday is their reward for following the TES goals of being Caring, Respectful, Responsible and having Perseverance. The darkened room and flashlight add a little extra fun during D.E.A.R.
