A top-down topic web is one of the four student comprehension strategies from The Key Comprehension Routine. It is a graphic organizer that presents topics and sub-topics in a hierarchical way, using varied shapes and placement on the page to represent the connections among the topics.

In the spring of 2016, NH Department of Environmental Services issued recommendations for voluntary testing of lead in drinking water at all schools and daycares. This action was in large part a result of lead toxicity to children from the water crisis in Flint, Michigan.

On February 8, 2018, Governor Sununu signed Senate Bill 247 Prevention of Childhood Lead Poisoning.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), also known as the Summer Meals Program, provides kids and teens with free meals when school is out.

The program was established to ensure that children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. In 2018, the SFSP provided more than 1.5 million nutritious meals and snacks to children nationwide.
