A tradition that was started nearly 50 years ago by the late Jim Grant in the early 1970s was held again at Temple Elementary School, after the pandemic had forced a hiatus for the past several years.
On Thursday, the school welcomed seniors for the annual Temple Senior Thanksgiving Feast. The Temple Recreation Department pays for all the fixings, including 200 pounds of turkey, while staff and student families cook it all and drop it off in the am. There were 18 pies were cooked by the children at TES. They also performed songs for the seniors!
We are so thankful for the return of this tradition which means so much to the staff and students as well as to the wider community of Temple.
